The right timing

A light first follow-up two to five days after sending checks they received it. A second can follow depending on the size of the job and how competitive it is.

Useful wording

  • “Do you need anything else to decide?”
  • “Would you like to adjust the scope on this part?”
  • “I can hold the slot for X more days - tell me if we need to move dates.”

Tie follow-up to your pipeline

If you track each quote’s status (sent, negotiating, accepted), you chase at the right time and avoid duplicate calls between colleagues.
