Split by useful lot
Clients understand a quote in lots that match the site: strip-out, first fix, second fix, commissioning. Avoid generic titles that hide the scope.
Interfaces between trades
State how far you go: chasing, making good, connections. Grey areas become negotiation once the job is open.
Keep options consistent
List what you supply versus client-supplied or another trade. An explicit “client supply” line prevents a lot of misunderstanding.
